The Diplomate Certification Committee is tasked with the certification of new diplomates and recertification of existing diplomates. New diplomates are eligible for certification after completing an ECVCP-approved residency, passing the college board examination and fulfilling the publication requirements. Diplomates from non-EBVS colleges may be granted temporary ECVCP Diplomate status if they fulfil certain criteria. Existing diplomates wishing to retain the title of EBVS® Specialist in Veterinary Clinical Pathology and remain practising (active) Diplomates, must recertify every five years.
